18th May 2011 Notes: Removing the Moon

Sometimes when we take pictures, the shot gets washed out by the light of a Full Moon.

As you can see in the far left image below, our picture takes on a bluish glow which at times can spoil the picture.

So when this happens, all we do is process the image and remove the moonlight effect on the picture. As you can see below, we processed the blue-glow image and during processing we added other  images to show the changes along the way until we get to the final image on the right.

Not a perfect result, but with more processing time we can pretty much get the image we are looking for.
