18th April 2011 Notes: Comet Elenin Orbit now recalculated

Note that the orbital parameters of Comet Elenin were changed 3 days ago as the comet makes it’s way closer to the Sun.

Elenin will be at it’s closest to Earth on the 16th October 2011 at a distance of between 34.958 million kilometres and 34.996 million kilometres …. this means at it’s closest distance it would be 90 times further away than the Moon.

However it should still be a great target for astronomers around the planet.
