Watch the ISS Chase the Endeavour tonight

The space shuttle Endeavour has undocked from the International Space Station and the two of them will put on a spectacular show for Sydney which will have pretty good observing conditions tonight.

At 8:40 pm, both the ISS and the Endeavour will appear above the horizon in the south west at the same time.  As the shuttle has only just undocked, it will at that stage be accelerating away from the ISS at a greater speed so that when the endeavour passes over the top of the moon at 8:43, it will be leaving the much slower ISS behind .

Make the most of this show. It promises to be spectacular.

The picture above shows where to look for the ISS and Endeavour at 8:43pm tonight as they head towards the Northern horizon.
