Target Moon : 4 Hours 26 Minutes and Counting

Before I start this post, I have to say that the NASA mission in a few hours reminds me of this picture from the 1902 film      Trip to the Moon………..

The lastest updates of the mission which will see see the Moon impacted by a rocketship is that the LCROSS mothership has seperated from the rocket booster, done a 180 degree flip and is now positioned at ring side to watch the show.

Hundreds of telescopes , including the newly improved Hubble Telescope, are going to be watching this event so I am looking forward to seeing the images of this in the days and weeks to come.

And what is going to be most interesting about all of this is that nothing like this has been done before and noone is exactly sure what will happen. As NASA stated…… “Big Surprises are possible”.

Make sure you have plenty of popcorn ready….. this is going to be an interesting show.
